The vast, picturesque county of Lincolnshire stretches from the Humber to the Wash, from the rolling Wolds in the north to the mysterious Fens in the south. One of the largest counties in England, Lincolnshire covers an area of 588,000 hectares (1.45m acres) and has a population of 605,000.

With its wide open spaces, and plenty of green countryside, Lincolnshire is still unspoilt by the hustle and bustle that grips so much of the rest of the country; a place where people can live and work in comfort.

Thje population is maimnly centred on the historic city of Lincoln, and the ancient major towns of Grantham, Spalding, Stamford, Boston, and Gainsborough. Residents are also attracted to the pleasant market towns and pretty villages that are scattered around some beautiful countryside.

The East Coast resorts of Lincolnshire have drawn millions of hopliday makers over the years and the whole of the eastern seaboard is renowned for its beauty, with its thriving tourist industry, woodlands, nature reserves and historic buildings.

Also, did you know that the Greenwich Meridian cuts Lincolnshire in two, traversing the length of the county just east of centre.
